Concierge Medicine Physician

PrivaMedis Concierge Medicine in Miami Beach, FL
At PrivaMedis, our goal is to eliminate the barriers to care that patients frequently experience in the current healthcare environment. We have more time to provide a truly patient-focused healthcare experience: a real person answering calls, same or next day appointments, extended office visits, little or no waiting in a waiting room, and easy, direct communication with your physician by personal cell phone, email or text message during and after office hours. As our patient’s ‘quarterback,’ we coordinate care with specialists and help navigate an often complex healthcare system. Most importantly, we know each patient fully and care for them as a whole person, with a highly personalized approach. A powerful focus on health and wellness starts with a complete lifestyle review of exercise and dietary habits, an understanding of patient and family medical history and identification of short and long-term health goals. This forms the foundation of how we work together on a plan to achieve optimal wellness at every stage of life.

A Concierge Medicine Physician, also known as boutique or membership medicine, is an alternative practice model based on a relationship between a patient and a primary care physician in which the patient pays an annual fee or retainer. In exchange for the retainer, doctors provide enhanced care by limiting their patient panel to ensure direct availability and adequate time for each patient. Extended, unrushed visits enable physicians to spend meaningful time with patients, build relationships, and provide more comprehensive, proactive care than in traditional practices.

In concierge medicine practices, physicians are focused not only on individuals who present with an illness, but also act as a “coach” of wellness and preventive medicine. Unlike the brief visits that are standard in traditional primary care, a concierge visit allows physicians to provide a comprehensive medical exam, offer health education and work with patients to develop personal health goals. Research shows that patients in concierge practices experienced improved health and reduced need for emergency department visits and admissions to the hospital.
